The Oriental Pearl Tower is a TV tower in Shanghai, China. The Oriental Pearl Tower is the tallest tower in Asia and the third tallest tower in the world. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower was designed by Jia Huan Cheng of the Shanghai Modern Architectural Design Co. Ltd. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is located in the Pudong district opposite The Bund of Shanghai.

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is 468 meters high tower and it is the world's third tallest TV and radio tower. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower's unique architectural design makes the Oriental Pearl TV Tower one of the most attractive places anywhere. Every year many visitors travel up and down the tower in double-decker elevators that can hold up to fifty people at seven meters per second.

The Oriental Pearl TV Tower combines ancient concepts such as spherical pearls with advance technology with commerce, educational, recreation and conference facilities. The Oriental Pearl TV Tower is also a TV and radio tower that services Shanghai area for more than ten television and FM radio channels.

The inner tower is a recreational palace, the Shanghai Municipal History Museum is located in the tower's pedestal and the large lower sphere has a futuristic space city with a sightseeing hall. On a clear day visitors can see the panorama view to the Yangtze River. At the base of the tower is a science fantasy city. There are also five smaller spheres which is a hotel that contains twenty five elegant rooms and lounges. At the very top of the tower it contains shops, a rotation restaurant and a sightseeing floor.
